# v1.5.14

> Xero connection, more useful Coach entry points, and improved competitor intelligence.

<Update label="2026-07-24" description="v1.5.14 · Feature release">
  **This release adds Xero as a connected accounting source, makes Coach new conversations more useful, and improves competitor intelligence workflows. No breaking changes. No migration required for existing v1.5.x integrations.**
</Update>

## Release overview

v1.5.14 broadens the connected-data foundation and smooths the paths users take inside Coach. Users can now connect Xero, choose the relevant organisation, and let Narrative SDK synchronise core accounting data for supported product capabilities.

Coach now gives users a more useful starting point when they choose New. Instead of opening an empty conversation, Coach can show the latest Daily Briefing for the current day while still keeping the new conversation clean until the user sends a message or chooses an action.

The release also improves competitor intelligence. Local competitor discovery is more distance-led, form questions can be reduced when the business profile already contains the answer, and advice better respects the owner's stated constraints.

**Breaking changes:** None.

**Deprecations:** None.

## Connected accounting data

Users can now connect Xero as an accounting source. The connection flow supports Xero OAuth, organisation selection, initial full synchronisation, daily incremental synchronisation, token refresh, disconnect, and clearer connection error handling.

The Xero sync stores Xero source data, including charts of accounts, contacts, invoices and bills, bank transactions, profit and loss records, and balance sheets. This release establishes the connection and data-load foundation; Money, Coach, and broader financial reasoning continue to depend on the data being available in the relevant product context.

## Coach

Selecting New in Coach now opens with the latest available Daily Briefing for the current day instead of a blank chat page. Users can act on the briefing cards, open recommendation details, choose Later or snooze where available, or ignore the cards and type a new message.

The New action still starts a clean conversation context. Previous messages are not shown, and an empty chat session is not created just because the user selected New. First-visit and onboarding handoff experiences continue to take precedence when they apply.

Coach responses also have stronger natural-writing guidance. Ordinary answers are less likely to use repeated dash-heavy phrasing, generic filler, inflated conclusions, or formulaic answer shapes, while safety, compliance, citation, source-attribution, onboarding, and schema rules continue to take priority.

## Competitor intelligence

Competitor intelligence now favours nearby competitors more directly. Local discovery is distance-led, and additional fallback search is used when the primary local sources return no useful places, so small-town businesses are less likely to see empty or far-away competitor sets.

The competitor intelligence flow is also more owner-aware. Advice avoids recommending an approach the owner already uses, avoids discounting when the owner has ruled it out, and builds suggestions around the differentiator the owner has already described.

Coach Action forms can use stored business profile context to reduce repeated questions. When the profile already contains a reliable answer, supported forms can hide that field and keep the user focused on genuinely missing details.

## Compatibility

This release remains compatible with existing v1.5.x integrations. No partner migration is required for standard embedded integrations.

Xero connection availability depends on the tenant's provisioned product experience and connected-source configuration. Existing QuickBooks, bank-account, Coach, Money, Growth, onboarding, and embedded authentication flows continue to work as before.
